Computer trouble

I think I may have picked up a computer virus on the home machine. Can't always access the internet through Cox, and now every time I go to my pictures, I get the message that Windows has encountered a problem and must close. I wanted to share some pics I took at the Auto Show on Friday. It was pretty good; thanks to Dave R. for taking me along as his guest.

A bad day

Almost two feet of snow has fallen over Southern New England, a state of emergency remains in effect in RI, and Johnny Carson has died. Sunday, January 23, 2005 was not a good day at all.

Back to work

Well, here I am back at work. That's enough about that.
I got back from Arizona Thursday night after a couple of pretty good flights. Friday night was great....dinner and 1964, The Beatles Tribute in Woonsocket. Thanks to Dave Richards for the ticket.
Sunday, it was off to PPAC for Jesus Christ Superstar. It was great. And at both shows, I saw my old friend from St. Rose and Hendricken, Jim Whalen! What are the odds? Oh yeah, this is RI.

Time to go home

My plane leaves at noon, so I guess it's time to finish my latte here at Starbucks and get ready to go. Yesterday was fantastic....Grand Canyon. And it is. A great dinner at the Navajo Reservation...half a mini Navajo taco; it was huge. I split it with a girl from East Providence!!!! Actually 5 out of 6 on the tour were from Mass or RI. Go figure the odds.

More from the 48th State

I'm writing this from a Starbuck's across the street from my motel. It's a T-Mobile hotspot, and while it should be free to use, it's only six bucks for an hour. Trying to use the hotel computer or patching mine into the system was a pain in the butt. I don't want to jinx it, but this trip is fantastic. Tomorrow it's the Grand Canyon!

Snow

Why aren't the plows out in force before the traffic gets heavy? They could barrel through and clear off the roads before 6, but they don't. Roads this morning are terrible. I can't get out of this state fast enough.

Netflix

In an effort to spend as much money as I can, I've joined Netflix. Actually, it's a great service, and a good deal too. One of the best things is that they offer not only movies, old and new, but also lots of concerts and tv shows....things I don't think you find at the local video store. And, of course, they're delivered to the house. You send them back...no late fees ever!!! I'm still on the two week free trial, but it looks good.
